The Kindergarten Adventure Begins.......

This is it.
The 5 year old starts Kindergarten tomorrow.
I would do cartwheels if I could...lol.

I didn't realize with the start of Kindergarten I would be required to purchase so many different supplies for her classroom and after THREE different lists I think I finally got everything.
Yes I said THREE !!!!

Her Kindergarten is going to be full time
Again more cartwheels.....
With the full time status she will be required to have "rest" time
If you know my 5 year old..."rest" time isn't in her vocabulary.

With "rest" time comes a mat to rest on.
Well not a mat....a towel has been requested.
A plain old towel. With her name BOLDLY on it.

May I present her new "rest" time towel for Kindergarten

Even the 5 year old gives it a thumbs up.

I picked up a towel (on sale) at Target. Stitched on some ribbon from my stash.
Used a small piece of muslin and embroidered her name on it and stitched that on.
Added a flower and some more ribbon to tie it closed.
Now she has a pretty towel to "rest" on
Or knowing her..... she'll use it as a cape to fly around her classroom.

Not me.....

New Home, New Blog Look, and New Front Door Wreath....

Hi all !! I finally got my computer back up and working. Would you believe all it was was a bent pin in the cord that connects the monitor to the tower. Go figure....it was an easy fix with a pair of tweezers ;-)

I am loving our new home and slowly getting things in place. Who knew moving into a new place would take so much time. It doesn't help that I have no idea what I want to do. I can't commit. I keep placing things and moving them and placing something else... etc etc etc.

With our new home I want a new wreath for our front door. Yes I actually have a nice front door with a little patio (that I can't wait to get out there and decorate) I picked up a grapevine wreath and added some brightly colored felt flowers and a welcome banner in a yellow/white striped ribbon (I got it at Michaels) and embroideried letters on it (tutorial to com) I love the POP of color it gives.

Tutorial to come
I am sure you noticed that I changed my Blog design around. This one suits me better. We all know how much I LOVE burlap. I am still tweaking it. I want to design and add a button.
And be able to link up to FB and my new BFF.... Pintrest
(that is another whole blog topic)

The 5 year old starts Kindergarten next Monday.
It will be a busy week getting ready, this is all new to me so it will definately be a learning experience for all of us. Thankfully we have a meet and greet with her new Teacher this week and I hope that will make the transition a little more easier.

I am happy to to be back and look forward to sharing more.
