I love my burlap and it seems that my Valentine decor has been accented by it. Last night I couldn't sleep so I turned on the TV and grabbed some burlap and felt. I have a oblong wooden bowl that sits on my sofa table that I wanted to add something to and keeping in theme with my simple Valentine decor I have been doing.
I used a thin red ribbon and a large embroidery needle and stitched these up.
I used some embroidery floss for the edges.
They look so sweet clustered together.
Added some paper shredd to the bowl
I think I might just make a few more.
The burlap was great to work with. It is like embroidery cloth but has that more rustic look that I love so much. I used pinking shears on the edge of the burlap so it wouldn't ravel as much.
The others are just pink and red felt scraps.
