Tea Party Day.... { the 6 year old turns 7 }

The 6 year old turned 7 this week.
So we has a little party for her last weekend.
She requested a Tea Party
Her favorite color is PINK.

I posted on Instagram a few photos of my projects
(Follow me on Instagram here)

My "Happy Birthday" Banner was one of my favorite things I made
Burlap, Pink Polka Dots and Gold Chevron
(my secret for the chevron letters......washi tape !!!)

The table setting was simple and I pulled together pieces I had
And I borrowed what I needed.

I made the pink flowers using this tutorial
I had so much fun making these, I scalloped my edges more.
(I can't wait to make these in some fall colors)

The place cards became the party favors

And course the Birthday Cake
(I forgot to take pictures of the other treats I made)
Everything was yummy !!!

Even my "lady" (that's what she calls her) got dressed for the occasion

I used my Pom Pom Maker to make Tulle Balls
And I had dyed brown coffee filters too which added a tinge of pink.

It was a fun day with just the three of us
Me, the 7 year old and Grammie.

It had me at Hello......

My poor front door has had nothing on it since
well......Valentine's Day
Sad yes I know.
I did throw an undecorated grapevine wreath up there.
Because it was something.
Now finally I got around to making one.

It had me at Hello.....

I have addiction to scrapbook paper
(it could be worst right?)

I saw this tutorial and knew I had to do something.

So I bought myself one of these
And went to town.

And of course I had to get one of these too.
(yes they are addicting too, I love how they work !! no wasted paper)

I just wrapped a wreath form in burlap.
Attached a small chalkboard from Michael's
I used a white paint marker, chalk wasn't cutting.
I think I will need to get a couple more chalkboards to change out the saying.
(depending on the day and my mood)

Now I never knew how dirty the front door actually was
until I saw these pictures.
Guess that is another project for another day.

Fabric Wrapped Spring Wreath

Been working on my Spring Mantel.
And I knew I wanted to do a wreath.
I love doing a fabric wrapped one.
I have done a few of them.
The base is a straw wreath I had picked up.
I love using this type of base.
Just leave to plastic on.
Because I use pins to attach everything and sometimes with styrofoam it starts to fall apart.

Approximately 1/4 yard of fabric is what I used.
I cut it into even strips, about 3" wide
Just wrap and pin, wrap and pin......

Added a few rolled roses.

Can you guess the accent color of my Mantel this year?
Yeah someone around here is addicted to PINK.
My Spring Mantel reveal coming later today.

I love the polka dots.

Sometimes you feel like a nut......

I am beginning to think I am nuts.
Right after Halloween I said to myself "Let's do a Craft Fair"
Myself answered "Sounds great! When is it?"
"In two weeks"
"TWO weeks???"
"Yes myself, two weeks"
"You are nuts !!!"

So I have been busy.
Two weeks to pull together a show.
Meanwhile life is still happening.
I was up to my eyeballs in satin, lace and felt.
Beads, Rhinestones, and Feathers.

60 flowers later......

Craft Fair is this Saturday.
And YES I am nuts.

And the best part of it all.
Meet Emily Madeline
The 5 year old named her.
It was a birthday present from my Mom.
Because not only is Saturday the Craft Fair.
It's my Birthday !!!

Wish me luck.
On both parts....lol.

Made the flower. Scarf is from Payless last year.
